Who am I if I am not my mind?
Well, I am birdsong.
I am sunlight on small pears swelling from spring’s blossoms.
I am the tri-pronged pine needle caught in a shrub on its way to the earth.
I am silent space between the still row of sangha sitters.
I am the soft pink ears of the nine-banded armadillo.
I am rain slanting across soft hills that fold into the tree line.
And I suspect I am, dear fellow human, a part of you.At the Margaret Austin Center June 8, 2013
